Stephen was born about three years after his older brother. He's no troublemaker, only a wise guy.
His chief passion is jazz trumpet. Now, you ask, how does he play the trumpet with that muzzle of his? Answer: not like Dizzy Gillespie!
Naturally , he's an audiophile too: very naturally, given his vulpine hearing. Conversant with
audio technologies from wax drums and wire recorders to CDs and MIDI files, he tells you the sickening truth
about Memorex tape: it's crap!
As a wise guy, Stephen's got a jaundiced view of his teachers, employers, and schoolmates. This makes him tough to deal with at times. He's often hard on his little brother,Eric. He is hardest of all upon himself. When Stephen's efforts at music bring so little real progress, it's agonizing for him.
Stephen is something of a slob. He hates dressing up even though he looks very handsome that way. He's also the only member of the Renard family to walk digitgrade instead of plantigrade.
