Important note about including long URLs with your ads: When posting a new ad, if you paste a particularly long URL into the 'link URL' box, the URL may get cut short, rendering the link useless. This is especially prone to occur with URLs for auctions. To avoid this, you may consider using one of the forwarding services TinyURL or Snurl to generate a much shorter address to use for your link. Alternatively, you may want to link instead to a page on your own web site that will then link or forward to your auction(s).

Promote your site: If you just want to promote your own web site, or if you've just updated it and want us to know, it can't be any easier than posting the link here.
For sale or auction: No matter where your auction is online or what you are selling, whether it's actually furry-related or not, you can advertise it here.
Automobiles for sale: Just what it says . . . what would a classified ads section be without this?
Now hiring: Or, the "Help wanted" section. For employers.
Looking for work: Been downsized? Or just desperate for work? Post a link to your resume here if it's online.
Commissions wanted: The place to go if want a furry artist to draw you something but don't know where to go or whom to ask.
Taking Commissions: Meanwhile, if you're an artist yourself, you may want to let everyone know that you're ready to draw for others.

Need somewhere to stay: For those who want to share a room at a con, or need some temporary housing, or are looking for a permanent home.
Conventions and Furmeets: Official announcements from any of the furry cons can go right here. So can announcements for smaller furry gatherings.
Products and Publications: Comics publishers with brand new releases can plug them here. So can those who are selling their T-shirts, handcrafts, or any other product they're bringing out.

RULES AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ADFURTZ USERS

1. Ads need to be in the appropriate category. If you're unsure of which 
category to use, please e-mail me: info@catchforusthefoxes.com

2. You will need a valid e-mail address to identify yourself 
and post an ad.

3. Ads for adults-only items are acceptable as long as you clearly 
indicate it, preferably in the title (subject line) of the ad. If you do 
not properly indicate adult content, your ad will be deleted. At the 
same time the *ad itself*, including any pictures you post, *cannot* 
contain any adult content, even when you are promoting adult material. 
If you have inappropriate content in the ad itself, it will be deleted. 
 
4. If you're advertising an auction, don't forget to include the date and 
time (including time zone) when your auction closes. Within a few hours or 
days after your auction closes, I will delete the ad for you.

5. If you're running several auctions at once that you're promoting on 
Adfurtz, it's best to list them all in one ad, or else post a single link 
to a listing. If you're running a LOT of auctions at once, you can split 
up your listing among several different ads; this way you can 
subcategorize your auctions. I'm not strict in this matter. Use your own 
better judgement.

6. If you are promoting an event that is scheduled for a specific place 
and time, you should ideally post your ad at least two weeks before the 
date your event is due to happen, if at all possible. A few hours or days 
after the date has passed, I will delete the ad for you.

7. There isn't any category for "personals" because I'm not personally 
comfortable with those. So don't post any, or they will be deleted.

8. If you believe you have been cheated by someone after answering that 
person's ad, or if you believe that someone advertising here is using it 
for a dishonest  purpose, that is a serious matter. You need to 
take it up with the person before you contact me about it. Rest assured, 
I don't want to see this service abused any more than you do. If you can 
give me evidence that someone is abusing this service, I will delete the ad. 
If there's a good indication someone is using it to break the law, 
I intend to let the authorities know about it. However, I will NOT be 
arbitrating disputes between Adfurtz users. This isn't a Small Claims 
court here. (If anyone wants to start a site called the "Furries' Court," 
they're welcome to!) Thank you for your understanding.
